Gender Equity in TVET: Ethics, Identity & Transformation

Gender Equity in TVET: Ethics, Identity & Transformation

At the Luso-Anglo German African Institute of Vocational Training and Cultural Research, we believe that equity is not a check box, it’s a compass.

Our latest bilingual infographic is more than a visual. It’s a call to action. It confronts the gendered imbalances embedded in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems and charts a path toward transformation.
TVET often reproduces gender stereotypes, limiting access and agency for women and marginalized groups. But education must be more than a mirror, it must be a lever for change.
We affirm that gender equity is not optional. It is a moral and institutional responsibility.

That’s why we champion:
✔ Gender-sensitive curricula
✔ Inclusive scholarships and mentorship
✔ Female leadership in TVET governance
✔ Community-driven cultural change

This is our commitment, not just across classrooms, but across continents.

We invite educators, youth leaders, donors, and global coalitions to stand with us. Share this message; spark dialogue, drive transformation.

Because when vocational education becomes truly inclusive, it doesn’t just prepare people for jobs, it prepares societies for justice.
